Phaselis and Olympos

South of Kemer, mountains, pine forest and sea meet. In Phaselis a broad main street runs between two harbours; in Olympos the ruins lie in a shady valley that ends at a pebble beach.

Full description

Phaselis was a Lycian port city with no fewer than three harbours. The broad main street links the military harbour with the south harbour; along it lie the agora, baths and the small theatre. The aqueduct brought water from the mountains into the city.

Further south Olympos lies in a river valley. Among laurel and pines stand tombs, a temple gate and remains of Byzantine churches – all the way down to the beach. If you like, you can swim in one of the bays.
