Full description

Two days give Istanbul the room one day cannot: on day one the old town with its world wonders, on day two Bosphorus, Galata, Chora or the Asian side – with breaks, photo stops and a lunch the way locals know it.

Three variants to choose from: “Classic – domes and mosaics”, “Art, culture and hidden treasures” and “Nature, food and sea”. Write your choice in the wishes field; we fine-tune the details before the tour.

  Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Cistern, Little Hagia Sophia.
• Classic – day 2
  Galata Tower, Çamlıca Hill, Pierre Loti café, city walls, Chora, Süleymaniye, Bosphorus boat (optional).
• Art & hidden gems – day 1
  Archaeological Museum, Rüstem Paşa Mosque, Spice Bazaar, Balat, Fener and Patriarchate, Galataport.
• Art & hidden gems – day 2
  Dolmabahçe Palace, Beşiktaş market, Yıldız Park, Ortaköy, Bosphorus Bridge, dinner by the water.
• Nature & food – day 1
  Emirgan Park, Sakıp Sabancı Museum, Bebek, Rumeli Hisarı, Kuzguncuk.

Meeting point

Choose your meeting point in the form: your hotel lobby, the Galataport cruise terminal or Sultanahmet at the fountain between Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Please arrive five minutes early; if you are late I wait up to 20 minutes.

You will recognise me by the sign “MeinReiseleiter.de” and the visibly worn guide licence. We confirm meeting point and time with your booking.

• Comfortable shoes – Lots of cobblestones in the old town, uphill and downhill.
• Dress code in mosques – Shoulders and knees covered, ladies with headscarf. Scarves are available at the entrance.
• Fridays – We visit mosques only after the noon prayer and adjust the order.
