Köprülü Canyon and Selge

In the Köprülü Canyon National Park the river has cut deep into the rock. We cross the Roman Oluk Bridge and drive up to Selge, where the ancient theatre lies among village houses and rock pinnacles.

Full description

The Köprüçay, the ancient Eurymedon, flows through a canyon spanned by a Roman bridge from the 2nd century. The road leads through pine and cypress forests into the mountains of Pisidia.

At the top lies Selge, a city that once had 20,000 inhabitants. Today the village of Altınkaya stands among the ruins; the theatre looks out over the peaks of the Taurus. If you like, you can add a rafting trip in the valley, paid on site.

Meeting point

• Cruise guests – Please state ship and time in port. We pick you up directly at Antalya cruise port and plan the return to the ship with ample buffer.
• Comfortable shoes and sun protection – Ancient sites and old-town lanes have uneven paving and little shade; please bring water in summer.
• Entrance fees – Not included in the price and paid on site; we buy the tickets for you at the counter.
