Full description

Kemer lies just under an hour west of Antalya, where the Taurus comes down to the sea. We start at the Yörük Park on the headland: the tents of the Yörük people are pitched here, who moved up into the mountains every summer until the 1960s – with loom, goat-hair tent and a tea kitchen where gözleme is baked.

Afterwards there is time at Ayışığı beach, named for the moonlight on the water, and at the marina. If you like, take a short boat trip along the coast. A day without rush – good as a break between two days of ruins.

Meeting point

• Comfortable shoes and sun protection – Ancient sites and old-town lanes have uneven paving and little shade; please bring water in summer.
• Entrance fees – Not included in the price and paid on site; we buy the tickets for you at the counter.
