The Blue Cruise – Mavi Yolculuk – is the old way of discovering the Carian coast: by wooden boat from bay to bay, swimming in clear water, eating on deck. We charter a gulet with captain and crew for you. You and the wind set route and pace; multi-day cruises are arranged on request.

Full description

Gulets are the traditional wooden boats of Bodrum's shipbuilders. Since the 1960s writers, painters and travellers have sailed along the coast in them – the writer Cevat Şakir, known as the "Fisherman of Halicarnassus", gave this way of travelling the name Blue Cruise. We cast off in the morning from the harbour with the castle behind us and head out to Karaada, where warm, mineral-rich water flows into the sea in a grotto.

Then we head for Aquarium Bay, whose water is so clear you can see the bottom several metres down, and other bays depending on the wind and your wishes. Between swim stops there is time to lie on deck, eat and watch the coast. Towards evening we are back in port. For a multi-day cruise to Knidos, the Gulf of Gökova or towards Marmaris, simply send us your preferred dates.

Meeting point

With a booked transfer we pick you up at your hotel in Bodrum or on the peninsula, at Bodrum cruise port or at Bodrum-Milas Airport (BJV) and bring you back there. Without transfer we meet at the gulet pier in Bodrum harbour.

You will recognise me by the sign “MeinReiseleiter.de” and the visibly worn guide licence. We confirm meeting point and time with your booking.
