Full description

In the morning we cast off from the harbour of the place you have chosen. The captain heads for reefs, rocky drop-offs and currents where the fish are biting – depending on the season sea bream, bass, mackerel, horse mackerel, bonito or bluefish. The crew shows you how bottom rods and spinning rods work and helps with baiting and unhooking.

Around midday the catch is cleaned and grilled or pan-fried, served with salad, bread, fruit, tea and soft drinks. Where the boat has no galley, a fish restaurant at the harbour cooks your catch. If nothing bites, you get fresh fish from the market – nobody leaves the boat hungry. When the sea is calm there is time for a swim before returning to the harbour after about six hours.

Meeting point

We meet at the boat pier of the place you have chosen; berth and time are confirmed with your booking. With a booked transfer we pick you up at your hotel or the cruise port and bring you back again.

Important information

• Language on board – the captain and crew speak Turkish and basic English; all arrangements beforehand are made in your language.
• Group size – maximum 8 people per boat, children included. For larger groups we book a second boat.
• What to bring – sun protection, a hat, a jacket for the morning, swimwear and non-slip shoes.
• Seasickness – if you are sensitive, take a remedy beforehand; in choppy water the captain looks for calmer bays.
• Catch – fishing is nature: nobody can guarantee a certain catch, but lunch is guaranteed.
• Cruise passengers – please state your ship and time in port; we plan the return with ample buffer.
• Children – life jackets in children's sizes are on board; children fish under their parents' supervision.
