The Apostle Paul and the Early Church - In German, English, Turkish
Ephesus, Antioch, Tarsus and Galatia - an enlightening visit to some of the places where the most important events of the New Testament took place.
"The Apostle Paul and the Early Church" is a brilliant production:
The film begins with the conversion of Paul and then takes a journey to the important places of his ministry on Anatolian soil (today the whole of Turkey on the Asian side).
In just 48 minutes a rich archaeological treasure is spread out before the viewer:
Mosaics, frescoes, statues, amphitheatres, agoras (markets of antiquity) and more...
The religious and historical background against which Paul preached the Gospel in Anatolia (Turkey) is shown.
But the film is more than an archaeological or historical study.
It invites the viewer to witness the emergence of Christian congregations and essential elements in the work and life of the church founder Paul: miracles as well as the difficulties and persecution.
For a better historical understanding, numerous 3D animated maps and many shots from the East that were decisive for Paul's mission, such as Antioch on the Orontes, Antioch in Pisidia, Ephesus, Tarsus and others, have been incorporated.
Important exhibits from a large number of Turkish museums are also shown.
A visit to important stations of the New Testament is well worth it!
